Hartford Stage Gala
Silent Auction Preview
By Nicholas Denninger, Development Apprentice
The Hartford Stage Gala has been heralded as Hartford’s party of the year! On April 21, we celebrate the grand and glorious Gilded Age, as inspired by our world premiere adaptation of Edith Wharton’s The Age of Innocence. A gala highlight is our silent auction, which features dozens of exciting prize packages for guests to bid on. Each winning bid helps raise essential funds for Hartford Stage’s artistic and education programs. Here’s a small sampling of this year’s amazing silent auction items:
Nantucket Weeklong Getaway
This house is newly-constructed in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the Miacomet Golf Club, which was voted New England’s #1 course by the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) in 2014. Adjacent to hundreds of acres of conservation land, the house is just a 15-minute walk to Nantucket’s best south shore beaches. You can also take a short walk to the Miacomet Golf Club and Restaurant, Cisco Brewery, Bartlett Farm Store, and the Miacomet bike path.
James Taylor at Tanglewood
See James Taylor with his All-Star Band at Tanglewood this July in his only New England appearance this summer. Throughout his 50-year career, guitarist and singer-songwriter Taylor has enchanted people with his music. A five-time Grammy Award winner, his iconic songs have had a profound influence on songwriters and music lovers from all walks of life. Taylor regularly performs to sold-out audiences at Tanglewood and has returned to the festival 25 times since his first performance in 1974.
Taylor Swift at Gillette Stadium
Catch the Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift, on her “Reputation” Stadium Tour at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts this July. The tickets are part of the Kingdom Keys Package, which includes the “Reputation” CD, a magazine, a commemorative ticket and ticket holder for display, a “Reputation” Stadium Tour patch, an LED VIP Tour laminate with matching lanyard, and a limited-edition hardcover “Reputation” book.
