Postcards to Shakespeare Exchange
The Postcards Exchange is a letter exchange program between fourth and fifth grade West Hartford students and actors in our shows. In the past, these students have written Postcards to Charles Dickens and to the cast of A Christmas Carol. This year students are writing Postcards to William Shakespeare and are writing to the cast of The Comedy of Errors. The students study the play in class or with their enrichment group. Then each student designs and writes a postcard to a character in the show. Often, they ask questions about the backgrounds, actions, or relationships in the play. The actors write back in character and design their own covers to their postcards. These postcards will be on display in The John and Kelly Hartman Foundation Lobby upstairs during the run of The Comedy of Errors.
